Deborah’s mom reached out to me for a session for her daughter Deborah for her 15th birthday.  She was unable to have her quinceañera because the had moved here recently, and she wanted to make sure that she was celebrated.  We had the best time and ended up with these adorable birthday images.  

The Power of Natural Light

Natural light has a unique way of bringing softness and depth to portraits, especially when used as backlighting. During my session with Hannah, I embraced this technique, pairing it with a simple backdrop to create stunning black and white images that feel both timeless and ethereal.

By positioning Hannah in front of a large window, I allowed the soft, diffused daylight to wrap around her, creating a glowing outline that beautifully separated her from the backdrop. This technique added depth and a dreamlike quality to the images while emphasizing the contrast between light and shadow.

Terri reached out to me with some ideas of how she wanted to be photographed with her husband. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and wanted photographs before surgery. It was an incredible honor to be able to do this for her and to help bring her vision to life.
